The Japanese prove once again that they aren’t the only weirdo’s on the planet, we are too.
With the release of Catherine for the PS3 we’ve had an increase in “weird” reviews floating about, and they all use just that word. Some other successful “weird” games are floating around, but it seems we often forget that with games such as Katamari Dmaacy and now Catherine.
When it comes to the casual gaming crowd explaining the game Catherine would be like talking about something from a looney bin, and this rather successful game ahs been described by Karl Koebke as “Every night after Vincent leaves the bar he grows horns and enters a nightmare world in which he and some sheep constantly climb a tower of blocks in an attempt to reach the top before the bottom falls out from under them.”
With only being out for one week in the U.S. This game ahs racked up a total of nearly 300,000 sales worldwide! And I haven’t even gotten my copy yet! I think it’s about time that we move forward with new types of games, Catherine proving that something new CAN be done, and maybe its about time.
