King Arthur and Camelot have been a fascination for people for many years, and they will also remain a fascinating part of our fantasies, and role playing games. There are very few people who would not like to be some member of King Arthur’s court, and would not like to play with the ideas of wizards, and magic, and of fearless knights, and lovely maidens. This is actually a series of games that allows you to lose yourself in the playing of these scenarios.

Concept
The actual concept for the game is not new, since it has been done repeatedly through the years. The creators did make this war game more of a player’s choice game than some others that came before. The player can choose from such options as conquer all, or gather a set amount of food. These choices allow the player to be in control of game duration, and of the things they will do within the game.

Of course there are quests to play, and there are battles to fight in order for Arthur to maintain Camelot and all of its holdings. The player is ultimately responsible for the actions of Arthur, and they are therefore responsible for everyone in the realm of their fantasy world.

These war games allow us the luxury of fighting for the side of a good, and to defend all that we hold dear, without the fear of being rejected, or of being hurt. That is one of the main reasons play. People, men especially, love to make things happen, to blow things up, to fight for their beliefs. With this type of game they get to do all of that and more.

Graphics
King Arthur: The Saxons, Druids is one of those series of games that does not actually have a lot going for it in the way of visual design. It is not the worst we have ever seen, but it is quite mediocre in its visual presentation.

Sound
The sound track is better than the graphics, as the soundtrack includes some soothing music that causes it to rise above the mediocre slot, and puts it in the slightly better than mediocre slot.

Playability
The series of games that includes King Arthur: The Saxons, Druids has an excellent reputation for being games that people enjoy playing, and being games that allows each player an equal chance regardless of their gaming abilities. It is refreshing to sit down to a game that you know nothing about, and be able to be actively playing in less than ten minutes. This gives the player a sense of accomplishment, and creates the desire within them to continue the game.

Entertainment
One of the best things about war games like this one is they draw the player in and they keep them riveted to the idea of the next battle, and who will win the next battle. They have the player planning strategy and thinking about ways to defeat the enemy all of the time.

Replay Value
In order to play a war game like this, a certain part of the game is dependent on your skill, your strategy, and the choices you make. So every time you play you can alter the outcome of the game to differing degrees by changing any one of these factors. Things like this make games like this have a replay value.
